The basics

4 questions
What is the Verona Card?

The Verona Card is the official tourist card of the City of Verona (Comune di Verona). It is valid for 24 or 48 hours from first use and gives you free entry to 15 museums, monuments and churches in the city, plus all ATV city buses and partner discounts.

How much does the Verona Card cost?

Since 1 September 2026 it has cost €33 for 24 hours and €38 for 48 hours at the counter in Verona. On Tiqets, with a digital audio guide, it currently costs €39 and €44. There is no separate children’s card.

Which sights are included?

Among others the Arena, the Casa di Giulietta, the Torre dei Lamberti, Castelvecchio, the Teatro Romano with the Archaeological Museum, Juliet’s Tomb with the Fresco Museum, the Gallery of Modern Art and four churches: the Cathedral, San Zeno, Sant’Anastasia and San Fermo. The full list with single-ticket prices is on the attractions page.

Is VeronaCard.net the official website?

No. VeronaCard.net is an independent guide. The card is issued by the City of Verona. If you book on Tiqets through our links, we earn a commission. Your price does not change.

Buying and pickup

5 questions
Where can I buy the Verona Card?

Online you book it in advance on Tiqets, with an audio guide and free cancellation until the day before. GetYourGuide and Headout don’t currently sell the card. In Verona you can get it at the Tourist Office at Via Leoncino 61 and at the ticket desks of most city museums.

How do I get the card after booking online?

Tiqets sends you a voucher by email straight away. Before first use, you exchange it for the card at the Tourist Office IAT on Piazza Bra. Show the voucher on your phone, there is no need to print it.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, on Tiqets free of charge until the day before your chosen visit date. Once you have exchanged it for the card there is no refund, not even for strikes, public holidays or closed attractions.

Is the card delivered to my hotel?

No. You pick it up yourself at the Tourist Office. It is open daily except 25 December and 1 January.

Are there discounts for families or groups?

No, the card has a fixed price per person. You usually don’t need one for children anyway: under-18s get into the city museums for free, under-11s into the churches. The exceptions are the Torre dei Lamberti (free up to age 7) and the Casa di Giulietta (free under 5).

Using the card in Verona

5 questions
When do the 24 or 48 hours start?

At first use, meaning your first museum or your first bus ride. From then on the hours run without a break. The card cannot be extended.

Can I skip the queue at the Arena with the card?

Yes, at the Arena you go in at Gate 5 without queuing at the ticket office. The other sights have no separate entrance: you show the card at the desk and get your ticket.

Do I need to book for Juliet’s House?

Yes. For the Casa di Giulietta you need a time slot. You book it free of charge on verona.coopculture.it and choose the Verona Card option. You can do this before you exchange your voucher.

Which buses are included?

All ATV buses within the city of Verona, as often as you like. Hold the card to the reader every time you board. The Aerobus to the airport, regional buses and the funicular to Castel San Pietro are not included.

Can I visit a sight twice?

No, each sight once per card. The lift at the Torre dei Lamberti costs €1 extra with the card, the stairs are free.

Planning

4 questions
What is open on Mondays?

On Mondays the Arena and most city museums are closed, including Castelvecchio, the Teatro Romano, the Fresco Museum and the Gallery of Modern Art. The Casa di Giulietta opens at 2 pm, and the Torre dei Lamberti and the churches are open too.

How accessible are the sights?

Only partly. The Arena has a separate wheelchair entrance, but inside your movement is limited. The Casa di Giulietta is not accessible, only the courtyard is. The city lists what is possible where on visitverona.it.

24 or 48 hours, which suits you better?

With one day in Verona and three or four stops, the 24h card is enough. If you stay two days and also want to see San Zeno, the Cathedral and the Teatro Romano, take the 48h card. It costs only €5 more.

Are there tourist cards for other cities in Italy?

Yes, for example the OPA SI PASS for Siena Cathedral and the Torino & Piemonte Card for Turin.
