With the Verona Card you visit 15 museums, monuments and churches in Verona without a ticket,
each one once. Four museums in Trentino and partner discounts come on top. Below are
the six best known with a photo, followed by the full list with the single-ticket price
you would pay without the card.
Six highlights with the card
Arena di Verona
The 1st-century amphitheatre is one of the best preserved in the Roman world. It once held around 30,000 people, and in summer it hosts opera nights. With the card you go in through the separate entrance at Gate 5 while the queue builds at the ticket office on Piazza Bra.
Casa di Giulietta
The medieval house on Via Cappello is said to be the family home of Juliet from Shakespeare’s play. Most people come for the balcony and the bronze statue in the courtyard. Inside, a small museum shows costumes and furniture. Without a booked time slot you won’t get in, even with the card.
Torre dei Lamberti
The 84-metre tower stands right on Piazza delle Erbe. From the top you look across the red roofs to the hills in the north. You climb 368 steps or take the lift, which costs €1 extra with the card.
Museo di Castelvecchio
The 14th-century castle of the Scaliger family houses the city’s art museum: sculpture, weapons and paintings from Mantegna to Veronese. Afterwards, walk across the battlemented Ponte Scaligero to the other bank of the Adige.
Verona Cathedral
The Romanesque cathedral of Santa Maria Matricolare holds Titian’s Assumption of the Virgin and has a 12th-century cloister. The card also gets you into the city’s other three large churches for free.
San Zeno Maggiore
The basilica of the city’s patron saint lies a little outside the centre and is easy to reach by bus. It is known for its bronze doors with 48 panels and the altarpiece by Andrea Mantegna.

Without the card, the four large churches are also sold as a combined ticket for €8. On the first Sunday of the month from November to March, the city museums cost only €1 (except Casa di Giulietta). On a day like that the card is hardly worth it.
Free outside Verona
If you travel on into Trentino, the card also gets you into these without a ticket:
Mart, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rovereto
Casa d’Arte Futurista Depero in Rovereto
Castello del Buonconsiglio in Trento
MUSE, the science museum in Trento
Discounts with the card
CitySightseeing Verona: €5 off the adult day ticket

Buses and children
All ATV buses within the city are included. Without the card a single ride costs €1.50 and a day ticket €5. The Aerobus to the airport, regional buses and the funicular up to Castel San Pietro are not included.
Children usually don’t need a card: under-18s get into the city museums for free. The exceptions are the Torre dei Lamberti (free up to age 7) and the Casa di Giulietta (free under 5). Children under 11 get into the churches for free.
The city publishes the full list of partners on visitverona.it.
